The Homewood-Flossmoor Vikings lost a heartbreaking at the Class 4A Supersectional at Mother McAuley Friday night.

CHICAGO, IL - The Homewood-Flossmoor High School girls basketball team saw their season come to a heartbreaking end Monday night, falling in a two-overtime thriller between the Chicago Tribune’s top two rated teams in Chicagoland.
Tribune No. 2 H-F led by four points with less than a minute remaining in regulation, but ended up dropping a 39-35 decision to top-ranked Montini in two overtimes in the Class 4A Mother McAuley Supersectional.
The Chicago Tribune reports Karli Seay had 16 points to lead the Vikings in the losing effort while Nadia Green also reached double figures with 11.

H-F nearly had the game won in regulation, but Montini’s Kaylee Bambule had what the Tribune reported as a “driving basket” to send it to overtime.
