Homewood Science Center Holds Apollo 11 Moon Landing Celebration
Homewood Science Center and Prairie State commemorate the anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing next week.
HOMEWOOD, IL — Commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing at a free celebration at the Homewood Science Center.
Make your own lunar landing module or lunar landing rover in the center's STEAM Studio, take a close up look of the sky with a solar telescope or high powered binoculars with the help of Prairie State College professors, and win a prize by participating in an Outer Space Costume Contest.
The celebration will be held at 5 p.m., Wed., July 17.
