HOMEWOOD, IL — Homewood is hot this summer with two sizzling summer festivals.

On July 4, join the Independence Day Parade and Family Fun Fest
The parade kicks off at the corner of Ridge Road and Dixie Highway at 10 a.m.

Homewood's parade invokes the nostalgia of a hometown Americana experience. The parade, representing Homewood’s civic groups and businesses, travels down historic Ridge Road to the beautiful grounds of Izaak Walton Preserve for the H-F Park District's annual Family Fun Fest. Admission is free but wrist bands are needed for activities.

On August 17, hit Homewood's Block Party
Party with your neighbors on Martin Avenue between Ridge Road. There will be fun activities, face painting and summer fare from Homewood restaurants. Fest goers enjoy a full line-up of live music throughout the day, a jump house, games, zip line, adventure slide and crafts.
