Homewood Village Board To Meet Tuesday

The board will consider a number of ordinances, including supporting the restoration of local government distributive funds.

HOMEWOOD, IL — The Village of Homewood's Board of Trustees are scheduled to meet Tuesday at 7 p.m. and will be considering a number of motions. The board meets at the Homewood Village Hall, located at 2020 Chestnut Road, Homewood.

The Homewood Science Center is slated to give a presentation at the Tuesday meeting. The board will also consider appointing Joe Sherman to the Beautification Committee for a five-year term, ending in 2026.

The board will also be considering collectively supporting the restoration of Local Government Distributive Funds. Other suburban municipalities, like Orland Park and Tinley Park have since stated their support of restoring the funds.

Residential garage sales may also increase from two days to three. Other considered ordinances include liquor licenses, village owned property, parking and more.
