Homewood Woman Wins Big On 'Wheel Of Fortune'

HOMEWOOD, IL — A woman from Homewood scored a "stunning victory" in the episode of Wheel of Fortune that aired Tuesday night, March 3. Linda Crabtree was on a roll during the entire show, taking home $71,340 in total prize money. Highlights of her appearance on the show can be found here on YouTube.

Puzzles she solved correctly include one that read "Crystal Clear Ocean Water" and "Fresh-Baked French Bread." The latter won her a cruise through France and the former a trip to Arizona.

"Stunning Victory" was appropriately one of the puzzles she solved correctly and at the end of the show when she had only a few letters to help her solve a "Phrase," it took her less than a second to blurt of "Vacuum the House."

“It was a lot of fun. I was definitely nervous, but it was more fun nervous, because I watched the show forever, and to be on the set was just crazy!” she told the Homewood-Flossmoor Chronicle before the show aired.
