HOMEWOOD, IL — Come out for the Village of Homewood's wildly popular block party Saturday, where you'll find live music by TheSpaniels, Fifty-One Lincoln Band and Fool House - The Ultimate 90's Dance Party.

There will be midway games, crafts and food for everyone in your family. Kids will be able to play at inflatable courses, an adventure slide and bounce houses. There also will be an opportunity to create a pinwheel with South Suburban Family Shelter and a fun buckets game with Kirschner Vision.

And don't miss a special video booth aimed at capturing 30-second stories from residents about life in Homewood.

  • 12 to 8 p.m. - Jump Houses, Eurobungy, Obstacle Course, Midway Games, and more!
  • 12 to 2 p.m. - CRAFT: Sponsored by Office Max
  • 2 to 4 p.m. - CRAFT: Sand Art
  • 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. - BAND: The Spaniels
  • 4 to 6 p.m. - BAND: Fifty-One Lincoln
  • 7 to 9 p.m. - BAND: Fool House

Food vendors include: Aurelio’s Pizza, Cilantro Cocina Mexicana, EmpanadUS, LaVoute Bistro and Bar, Mother Wilma’s Marshmallow Factory, Rabid Brew, TJs Kettle Korn and Twitsted Q BBQ.

The block party will be help from noon to 9 p.m., Sat., Aug. 17 at Martin Avenue between Ridge Road and Hickory Road. It is free and open to the public.
