Irwin Community Center Hosts Art Club For Teens

The community center is holding Art Club For Teens this September

HOMEWOOD-FLOSSMOOR — The Irwin Community Center is hosting another Art Club For Teens beginning this September.

The art club will be an experience that participants will have opportunities to learn new skills with drawing, painting and more, according to the park districts website.

The Art Club For Teens will begin every Wednesday from Sept. 16 and run through Oct. 21 at the Irwin Community Center, 18120 Highland Ave. in Homewood. The class will be held for those 12 to 15 years of age.

Terry Nemchock will be the instructor teaching multi-media drawing and painting, alongside basic art skills. Students will be using a variety of materials such as charcoal, pencils, watercolors and inks. A new lesson will be taught in each session, according to the website.

The fee to join the class is $90 for residents and $113 for non-residents. The class will take place between 4:30 and 6 p.m.
