La Banque Hotel Seeks Pieces of History for Display

La Banque Hotel would like to preserve the history of the banks that formerly occupied the building, and owners need residents’ help.

The hotel is hosting a photo and story contest, seeking submissions of historical tidbits and photos from the banks that came before it. Residents’ whose submissions are chosen for display in the the hotel or in marketing materials will be invited the hotel’s grand opening and ribbon cutting, set for June 13.

The building at the corner of Ridge Road and Martin Avenue formerly housed Homewood State Bank, followed by the Bank of Homewood and Great Lakes Bank.
