Love Beer, Homewood? This One's For You!

Professional beer journalist and Certified Cicerone David Nilsen to lead guided beer tasting on November 24 at Homewood's Rabid Brewing

After a few days with extended family, what most of us need is some beer - good beer.

David Nilsen, Certified Cicerone and professional beer journalist, and Rabid Brewing, Homewood's very own purveyor of "stupid-delicious beer," understand this need and have partnered together to create an event for the beer-lovers among us.

On Saturday, November 24, David will be leading a guided tasting through 5 of Rabid Brewing's beers. He will explain not only the basics of beer and how to properly taste beer by engaging all the senses, but also the history, brewing details, and sensory characteristics of each of the beers in the tasting. The event begins at 4:15 p.m. in Rabid Brewing's taproom at 17759 Bretz Dr., in Homewood (behind Home Depot and Jewel). Tickets are only $20 - which includes the flight of beer to accompany the tasting - and can be purchased in advance by contacting Rabid Brewing at 708-960-3193 (walk-ins allowed, but registration appreciated).
