Major Roadwork Is Expected To Slow Traffic In Homewood

HOMEWOOD, IL— Roadwork will snarl Homewood traffic this spring as the village begins its repair and resurfacing project.
Officials said most roads will stay open, but delays should be expected. Two parking lots will have intermittent closures.
The roads and lots where work is scheduled are:

- Francisco Avenue from 183rd Street to Willow Road
- Pierce Court from Loomis Avenue to the cul-de-sac
- Pine Road from Harwood Avenue to Ashland Avenue
- Loomis Avenue from 183rd Street to Birch Road
- Kroner Lane from Melody Mart Parking Lot to Martin Avenue
- Melody Mart Parking Lot
- Hickory Parking Lot
The work includes the repairing and patching deteriorated pavement, replacing curb and sidewalk sections, repairing storm inlets and manholes, and complete resurfacing of the streets and parking lots.
The project is expected to be complete by June 14.
