
FLOSSMOOR, IL — A man police believe may have suffered a medical emergency while driving died after crashing his car Thursday in Flossmoor.
The 55-year-old man was driving south in the 19700 block of Governors Highway just before 7:30 p.m., when his vehicle left his lane, crossed the northbound lanes, and hit a group of trees, Chicago Sun-Times reports.
The driver was wearing a seatbelt, but was ejected from the vehicle, according to the report. No other vehicles were involved.

The man—whose name has not yet been released as of Tuesday afternoon—was taken to St. James Health in Olympia Fields, where he was pronounced dead at 8:05 p.m.
An autopsy the following day found he died of multiple injuries from a car striking a fixed object. His death was ruled an accident.
