Man Fatally Shot Inside Park Forest Home

The man was found deceased Friday evening, police said.

PARK FOREST, IL — A 39-year-old man was found fatally shot inside a south suburban Park Forest home Friday evening.

Police responded to a call of shots fired inside a home in the 200 block of Arcadia Street, where they found Jason McCullough unresponsive with at least one gunshot wound, according to a statement from Park Forest police. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Preliminary investigation indicates that the incident stemmed from a dispute between two adults known to each other, and that this is not a random crime.

The South Suburban Major Crimes Task Force was activated and the Illinois State Police Crime Scene Investigation Unit was called to assist. The investigators are actively searching for one suspect who is no longer believed to be in the Park Forest area.
