Miracle On Martin Returns For a Second Year
The event will include horse-drawn carriage rides, visits with Santa and a bonfire in downtown Homewood this Saturday, Dec. 15.

HOMEWOOD, IL -- Miracle on Martin Avenue will return for a second year this weekend. Attendees can visit with Santa, enjoy a horse-drawn carriage ride through the downtown area or gather with others at a bonfire. Miracle on Martin will run from 2 to 6 p.m. on Dec. 15 at locations in downtown Homewood and at the Homewood Science Center, 18022 Dixie Highway.
Santa will be at the Homewood Science Center from 3 to 6 p.m. The Science Center will have a sensory-friendly holiday scene that is meant to set the perfect backdrop for a quiet visit with the big guy himself, according to the Miracle on Martin Avenue Facebook page.
There will be a bonfire with s’mores and beverages, horse-drawn carriage rides available through the downtown area from 3 to 6 p.m. and holiday characters strolling Martin Avenue along with holiday carolers.

There will also be an“I Spy” community event with maps of the windows and lists of items to seek. Kids of all ages can fill out an “I Spy” treasure hunt brochure and receive a holiday treat.
