MudCity Blu: New Generation Blues & Soul

MudCity Blu receives an Intercontinental Music Award 2020

Homewood-Flossmoor area blues band MudCity Blu is the recipient of the Intercontinental Music Award 2020 in the performance category. The Intercontinental Music Awards organization evaluates music beyond billboard standard grounds from a global and ethical perspective by a professional panel of music executives and active industry musicians located in Los Angeles. The members are particularly proud of this achievement because it recognizes their unique interpretation of blues classics and affirms their passion for the genre. MudCity Blu’s performance of Bob Geddins’ “Tin Pan Alley” caught the ear of the judges with the soulful vocals of Kendall Carter (guitar & vocals), complemented by Stacy Norris (drums) and Peyton McDowell (bass). In these difficult times, the band uses music to heal the soul. MudCity Blu will be performing classics and contemporary blues, originals, and other tunes on the outdoor patio at Ravisloe Country Club in Homewood July, 31 @7pm. Great blues, great scenery, great food! And safely spaced out tables. You can take a listen and check out MudCity Blu at mudcityblu.com.
