Obituary: Michael J. O'Connor
The 1972 graduate of Homewood-Flossmoor was a master carpenter and avid Chicago Cubs and Bears fan who was known for his infectious smile.
HOMEWOOD-FLOSSMOOR, IL – Michael J O’Connor, 66, son of John and Patronella O’Connor of Homewood, passed away in Bradenton, Florida on July 2.
He is survived by his daughter Colleen O’Connor, his brother David O’Connor (Celia),his sister Margaret Hermesdorf (James), his sister Kathleen Helge (Greg), many beloved nieces and nephews and his predeceased sister Maureen Garren and brother Thomas O’Connor.
Mike was an avid Cubs and Bears fan whose smile was contagious. Mike was a member of the Homewood-Flossmoor graduating class of 1972 and was a master carpenter by trade who rehabbed many homes in the community.

Mike was a life long member of St Joseph’s Catholic Church in Homewood.
