HOMEWOOD-FLOSSMOOR, IL — The Homewood-Flossmoor Park District is hosting a virtual course on playwriting and development for kids between the ages of 10 and 13. The class will be held over a zoom call, and by the end of the course, participants will have a monologue completed, according to the park district's website.

From 6 to 7 p.m. on Thursday nights, Aug. 6 through Aug. 20, participants will learn how to write a monologue and develop characters for playwriting. When completed, the monologues will be shared and preformed online in what is described on the website as "half writing, half preforming, all the fun!"

The course will be instructed by Dawn Leader-Peloso. For residents, a fee of $30 is required; non-residential fee is $38. Once registered, participants will receive information for meetings.
