Homewood is gearing up for its annual 4th of July parade. Here's what you need to know about start times, sensory zones and rain delays.

HOMEWOOD, IL — Homewood is gearing up for its annual Fourth of July parade, and if you're packing up the family, here's what you need to know about start times, sensory zones and rain delays.
Homewood's parade steps off at 10 a.m. at the St. Joseph Church parking lot on historic Dixie Highway, travels east along Ridge Road, and finishes at Izaak Walton Preserve. That's where you'll be able to celebrate with the H-F Park District's annual Family Fun Fest.
This year, it will feature a quiet zone for those with noise sensitivity. The quiet zone will kick off at the start of the parade route along Dixie Highway and extend to Ridge Road. Sirens, choirs, and music will resume closer to the Homewood post office.
