Ring in the New Year With Your Family at the Homewood Auditorium
For families with small children, the Village of Homewood is hosting an alternative to staying up until Midnight.

HOMEWOOD, IL — Staying up all night to watch the ball drop on New Year’s Eve is exciting, but it can be difficult for families with small children.
So for families, the Village of Homewood will host a family-friendly Noon Year’s Eve Day event featuring a countdown and balloon drop at the stroke of Noon on Saturday, Dec. 31. Doors of the Homewood Auditorium, 2010 Chestnut Road, open at 10:30 a.m., and seating is limited to 500. This event is free and open to the public.
Entertainment begins at 11 a.m. with the Chicago Boyz Acrobatic Team, a professional gymnastics troupe consisting of talented young men and boys from the Chicagoland area. This team which performs acrobatic tumbling routines with impeccable timing were semifinalists on “America’s Got Talent”. Following the performance, visitors receive hats, tiaras and noisemakers for the countdown and balloon drop, all at the stroke of noon to welcome in 2017! Friends and families can take Noon Year’s Eve pictures in a photo booth with fun props, and snack on everyone’s favorite party food “Sliders” provided by White Castle. Comcast xFinity is continuing their longstanding commitment to Noon Year’s Eve through a generous donation.
