UPDATE: Police Hunt Suspect in Shooting of CN Railroad Security Guard
UPDATE: Suspect fled the scene. Police still searching.

Residents in Homewood were on edge Saturday night, as police hunted a suspect in the fatal shooting of a Canadian National security guard at a railyard nearby.
The shooting occurred at the Canadian National Intermodal railyard, which has a listed address of 16800 Center Ave. in Harvey. The suspect in the shooting had allegedly stolen a car earlier, crashed it, and fled. He then ran towards a viaduct on a nearby railroad, where he encountered the security guard in a vehicle. He then shot at the guard and stole his car, later abandoning it near 171st and Park in East Hazel Crest.
The guard—who was on contract with CN—was found shot in the abdomen and was taken to South Suburban Hospital in critical condition, Sun-Times reports. He later died from his injuries.
