Several Delays Reported On Metra Electric District Line

CHICAGO - A number of delays and other problems have been reported on the Metra Electric District Line Monday night during the evening commuter hours. As of just before 7 p.m., there were 11 current alerts listed on the Metra website.

Current train numbers affected are #241, #139, #757, #707, #603 and #503.

Two of the alerts specifically affect commuters in Homewood and Flossmoor. Both the Homewood and Flossmoor elevators are currently out of service:

"The Homewood elevator is temporarily out of service. Recommended alternative accessible locations are Calumet and 211th. Metra will provide updated information once service has been restored."

"The Flossmoor elevator is temporarily out of service. The recommended alternative accessible location is the Homewood Station. Metra is working to resolve the mechanical issue with the elevator as quickly as possible. Updates will be provided as they become available."
