South Suburban Family Shelter To 'Dance Away Domestic Violence'
All proceeds from the event will support South Suburban Family Shelter's mission of providing services to victims of domestic violence.
HOMEWOOD, IL — The South Suburban Family Shelter is inviting you to get your groove on. The shelter is hosting a dance party event this June, and all proceeds from the event will support South Suburban Family Shelter’s mission statement of providing services to victims of domestic violence.
The event will take place on June 26, from 2:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Martin Avenue Square in Homewood. Attendees will dance with Linda Mines from Dawn’s Dancin Deeva’s and Zumba with Instructor Yvette Roberts.
There is a registration of $20 per person to attend. If someone doesn't want to attend, but still wants to donate, they can do so here.

The shelter said free street parking is available throughout downtown Homewood, and asks that participants arrive to check in around 2:30 p.m. so the program can begin at 3 p.m.
"You don’t want to miss this chance to showcase your dance moves while supporting this important agency in our community," the shelter states in an announcement.
