TCF Bank in Homewood Robbed Monday Afternoon

TCF Bank was robbed by a man in his mid-20's Monday evening, police said.

HOMEWOOD, IL — TCF Bank in Homewood was robbed Monday, according to the FBI. The federal law enforcement agency said a man entered the bank, located at 17830 S. Halsted St., at approximately 2:38 p.m and demanded money.

The suspect was described as an African American man of medium build, in his mid-20s, about 5 feet 8 inches tall, and weighing around 160 pounds, according to the FBI's Chicago Office. He was last seen wearing a black sweatshirt, black baseball cap with white writing and a black facemask, officials said.

The FBI said the man implied that he had a weapon, but did not show it during the robbery. There were no reports of injuries.

A $1,000 reward will be offered if the suspect is turned in. Anyone with information is asked to call the Homewood Police Department at 205-332-6200.
