ABC 7's Bicentennial Bash Comes To Hyde Park

Anchor/Reporter Mark Rivera will be live from the Sophy Hotel Friday morning.

CHICAGO - ABC-7 Chicago will be in Hyde Park Friday morning to celebrate the Illinois' bicentennial. The morning show's co-anchors Terrell Brown and Tanja Babich have been celebrating the state's 200th birthday in recent weeks with Anchor/Reporter Mark Rivera reporting live from various sites around Chicagoland.

On Friday, Nov. 16, Rivera will be at the Sophy Hotel, the new boutique hotel that opened earlier this fall on the corner of 53rd and Dorchester. He will shoot hoops with the Harlem Globetrotter Zeus and get in the groove with DJ music and Chicago-style stepping as well as feature a piece on Chicago's Gospel roots, according to an ABC-7 news release.

ABC's Bicentennial Bash was at the Naval Station Great Lakes in North Chicago last Friday and will be in Arlington Heights on Wednesday, Nov. 21.
