Armed Robber Stole Cash From 2 Walking In Hyde Park: Police
The armed robbery happened Wednesday night.

HYDE PARK, IL -- Authorities are searching for an armed robber who stole cash from two people Wednesday night. The armed robbery happened at 8 p.m. in the 5100 block of South Dorchester Avenue. Authorities say the robber, who was armed with a handgun, approached a person walking on the sidewalk off campus and demanded money, according to a news release from the University of Chicago Police Department.
The robber also demanded and took cash from a second person before fleeing on foot, authorities said.
The Chicago Police Department is investigating the armed robbery.
