BankFinancial Robbed In Hyde Park

The FBI has released a surveillance photo of a man they say robbed the BankFinancial on 55th Street late Friday afternoon.

CHICAGO - The FBI is looking for the man who pulled off a robbery at the BankFinancial location in the city's Hyde Park neighborhood late Friday afternoon. The robbery occurred at 5 p.m. at the bank branch located at 1354 E. 55th St. on Dec. 14, according to the FBI.

The suspect is described as a black man with a dark complexion, dark beard, glasses, black coat and kangol hat. He appeared to be in his late 30's to late 40's and was approximately 5'9" and weighing 170-200 pounds.

The incident was described by the FBI as a "non-takeover bank robbery." University of Chicago police say the man implied he had a weapon, but did not show one.

A reward of up to $1,000 is offered for information directly leading to the man's arrest.
