Bill Gates Believed To Be New Owner Of Hyde Park Home
Microsoft founder Bill Gates appears to have paid more than $1 million for a home near the University of Chicago.

CHICAGO, IL — Billionaires Bill and Melinda Gates are believed to be the buyers of a home near the University of Chicago in Hyde Park. A Chicago Tribune Elite Street report indicates the pair paid $1.25 million for a five-bedroom home in the neighborhood on April 4. The sale was made through a land trust, according to the report.
The Gates' $90 billion worth would make them easily the wealthiest people to ever own a home in Chicago if this report is true.
The home in question is just across from the University of Chicago and is already equipped with five surveillance cameras outside, according to a listing.
