Boutique Hotel Opens In Hyde Park

All rooms at the SOPHY Hyde Park will have a record player and vinyl selection.

CHICAGO, IL - The first boutique hotel on Chicago's South Side is now open at the corner of 53rd Street and Dorchester Avenue in Hyde Park. SOPHY Hotel, the new 98-room hotel managed by Olympia Hotel Management has uniquely designed rooms and a lounge area that will hold "Hyde Park Social" events every afternoon.

The hotel is now open, according to a news release posted online. Its name is rooted in the Greek word "sophia," meaning wisdom and dedication to excellence through the pursuit of knowledge.

"It pays tribute to Hyde Park's unique legacy and is reflected in both SOPHY's architecture and design," the release states.
