Cars, Bus Use Bike Path To Get Around Lake Shore Drive Crash
Photos from WGN show a bus getting stuck on a bike path while a crash closed both southbound lanes of Lake Shore Drive near 57th Street.
CHICAGO, IL - A two-car crash in the southbound lanes of Lake Shore Drive in Hyde Park Thursday morning had some a.m. commuters finding creative ways to get around it. WGN-TV Traffic reports on Twitter indicate multiple cars used the parallel bike path to get around the wreckage, which temporarily blocked both southbound lanes near 57th Street just before 7 a.m.

Cars weren't the only vehicles trying to get around the crash, which closed the lanes for quite some time. There was also a bus that used the path as a detour and ended up getting stuck.
