City wants to build up Jackson Park before it becomes home to the Barack Obama Presidential Library.

CHICAGO, IL - A forum is in the works to talk economic development on the South Side near Jackson Park, the future location of the Obama Presidential Center.
Mayor Rahm Emanuel met with four South Side aldermen last week to announce plans to convene a group of stakeholders to gather community engagement on the process.
“The Obama Presidential Center, when complete, will offer tremendous educational, cultural and economic benefits to the City and its residents, and it is important that community members be part of the process of investment and development in the South Side of Chicago,” Emanuel said.
