Graduate Students United will be formally recognized as a union after a lopsided vote by graduate assistants last week.

CHICAGO, IL - Graduate assistants at the University of Chicago in Hyde Park voted to form a union, the Chicago Sun-Times reported last week. Contract negotiations between graduate students who are part of the Graduate Students United union now plan to immediately begin contract negotiations with the university's administration.
