A driver fired several gunshots on Hyde Park Boulevard Tuesday afternoon, hitting three cars before crashing his.

CHICAGO – A driver in Hyde Park Tuesday afternoon fired several gunshots from his car and hit three other cars parked in the neighborhood, according to University of Chicago police.
Police reported a "criminal damage to property/firearm" incident in the 1600 block of East Hyde Park Boulevard at 4:18 p.m., when they say the motorist "fired several shots from a firearm and caused damage to 3 vehicles while driving off campus."
The shooter then crashed his car and fled on foot, only to be "quickly apprehended" by Chicago police officers. Charging information was not immediately available.
