Hyde Park Historical Society Open House
Visit the new exhibit, "Hyde Park in 1890, from Raschers Atlas."
The Hyde Park Historical Society (HPHS) will host an open house this Saturday, Oct. 8 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Learn about the history of Hyde Park through a new exhibit entitled, “Hyde Park in 1890, from Raschers Atlas.” Posters from the 1890 atlas between 51st and 59th streets and Cottage Grove Avenue and the lakefront will be on display, the Hyde Park Herald reports. HPHS docents will be available to discuss the historical topic.
The event takes place at 5529 S. Lake Park Avenue and the next open house will be Sunday, Nov. 6.
