Lake Shore Drive Lanes Blocked Due To Crash
Both southbound lanes on Lake Shore Drive near 57th Street in Hyde Park have been closed during the Thursday morning rush due to a crash.
CHICAGO, IL - All southbound lanes of Lake Shore Drive are blocked south of 57th Street in Hyde Park heading into the 7 a.m. traffic hour on Thursday due to a crash that apparently involved two vehicles. A WGN-Traffic report on Twitter shows a sky photo of two wrecked cars, one of which is blocking both southbound lanes.
A later tweet from WGN shows that at least two cars have used the parallel bike path to avoid the crash.
Northbound lanes of LSD heading into downtown Chicago do not appear to be affected.
