Lyft Car Struck By Gunfire In Hyde Park
A ride-sharing vehicle was damaged by gunshots on Hyde Park Boulevard Tuesday night.
CHICAGO – A Lyft car was hit by gunfire in Hyde Park Tuesday night. University of Chicago police responded to the incident listed as criminal damage to property at 10:20 p.m. in the 1200 block of East Hyde Park Boulevard.
Information gathered by police indicates someone in a passing vehicle on the thoroughfare fired multiple gunshots and struck the ride-sharing car before speeding off in an unknown direction.
No one was injured by the shots, but the car did sustain damage from the gunfire.
