Museum of Science and Industry Commemorates 100 Years of Flight With New Exhibit

The Museum of Science and Industry unveiled Above and Beyond, a new exhibit celebrating 100 years of flight and aerospace exploration in association with Boeing. The 5,000 square foot exhibit, which opened on Oct. 4, will launch you into the future with interactive demonstrations. Guests can step onto a simulated space elevator, design and test a supersonic fighter jet in a virtual competition or fly like a bird using motion-sensing technology.

“Hopefully we are inspiring the next generation of people that will be the engineers and designers for the future,” said Jeff Buonomo, manager of special exhibitions and business partnerships at MSI in the Hyde Park Herald.
