Purse Stolen From Person Walking Near Kenwood Park

CHICAGO – Someone walking near Kenwood Park in the Hyde Park neighborhood Sunday night was robbed of a purse. University of Chicago police say a victim told them someone forcibly took the purse before getting into a dark blue 4-door sedan in the 1300 block of East 50th Street around 7:20 p.m.

The car fled eastbound on 50th Street, police said.

A description of the suspect was not included in a University police community alert to residents.

The victim was not injured, according to police.
