Relive 1893 World's Fair At Museum Of Science And Industry
A virtual tour of the 1893 World's Fair comes to the Museum of Science and Industry on May 19 and 20.

CHICAGO, IL — The 1893 World's Fair, also known to historians as the World's Colombian Exposition, was 125 years ago in Chicago, but people of the 21st century will get a sense of how things were around here back then with a virtual tour offered at the Museum of Science and Industry later this month.
Guests at the museum on Saturday, May 19 and Sunday, May 20 at 1 p.m. both days will explore what the Jackson Park fairgrounds looked like more than a century ago and view the world famous White City, which was home to the Palace of Fine Arts — known today as MSI, according to a news release from the museum.
The 1893 fair, which drew 27 million people to Chicago, is famous for introducing the Ferris Wheel, automatic dishwasher and Wrigley gum.
