Empty Willy World Cycles: Another Price Drop In Joliet

JOLIET, IL —If you've been monitoring the Joliet real estate market, you've probably noticed the old Willy World Cycles retail store has remained for sale without a buyer.

Last February, Joliet Patch reported that the asking price was $1,050,000 for the nearly 20,000-square-foot building at 101 N. Reed St.

At no point during the past year did a buyer emerged. The inability to sell the property has prompted the real estate agents to lower their asking price on the former Willy World Cycles.

The latest price has the property listed at $799,000, according to LoopNet.

The property includes more than 1 acre of land about two dozen parking stalls.

There's a 13,400-square-foot showroom with office and storage space as well as two loading docks and a mezzanine storage area.

Willy World closed in Joliet three years ago after being in business for 38 years.
