LEMONT, IL — A 19-year-old has been indicted on a felony theft charge after stealing a purse and $1,500 from an 88-year-old woman in Lemont in March, police said. Nico Coffman, of Glendale Heights, was taken into custody in May and indicted by a grand jury on Monday.
The incident happened on March 8 in the 14100 block of McCarthy Road, police said. A woman told police a man had stolen her purse and the $1,500 inside. She gave police a description of the vehicle, as well as a partial license plate, and told police she had been followed from the TCF bank in Lemont to the location on McCarthy, according to police.
