4 Inches Of Snow, -30 Wind Chill Possible: Advisory Issued

The weather service said the highest accumulations will be south of I-88, with the steadiest snow from 2 to 10 p.m.

ILLINOIS — Two to four inches of snow are possible Saturday as yet another winter weather advisory is issued for the area. According to the National Weather Service, a winter weather advisory is in effect from noon Saturday until midnight Sunday for DeKalb, Kane, DuPage, Grundy, Kankakee, Kendall, Cook and Will counties.

The weather service said the highest accumulations will be south of I-88, with the steadiest snow from 2 to 10 p.m. Roadway treatment will not be as effective with the cold air temperatures.

A wind chill advisory is also in effect from midnight to noon Sunday, the weather service said. Wind chills could be as low as 30 below zero.

More rounds of snow are expected Sunday evening, and on Monday through Tuesday morning, according to the weather service.

The weather service said time outdoors should be limited with the extreme cold, to prepare buildings and vehicles, and plan to check on elderly neighbors and family.
