Annual Quarryman Race Planned In Lemont

LEMONT, IL — Registration is now open for the annual Quarryman 10-mile and 5K run. The run will be held on Saturday, May 11, starting at 7:30 a.m. According to the event website, both races start and finish in downtown Lemont.

The course winds through the hilly neighborhoods of Lemont, and unique, hand-made “piece of the rock” awards made from local quarry stone are awarded to 1st – 3rd overall male and female and all standard five year age groups in both the 10 Mile and 5K races.

According to the event website, the Quarryman offers prize money to 1st – 3rd overall and a “King of the Hill” award.
