Battery, Drug Possession: Lemont Police Reports

The following information is from the Lemont Police Department. An arrest or charge is not an indication of guilt.

Jan. 16

• Dominykas Merkelis, 25, of Lemont, was charged with domestic battery and possession of a controlled substance at 3:30 p.m. following an incident in the 500 black of Main Street. Merkelis was taken to the Cook County Jail for a bond hearing.
• Ricardo Martinez, 25, of Chicago, was charged with driving while license suspended/revoked, one headlight, no registration plate light and no seat belt at 11:33 p.m. following a traffic stop at Main and Fourth streets. Martinez was issued a court date at the Bridgeview Courthouse.

Jan. 21

• Joel Lefevers, 49, of Lemont, was charged with driving without a valid license at 8:37 p.m. following a traffic stop at State Street and Archer Avenue. Lefevers was issued a Feb. 22 court date at the Bridgeview Courthouse.
