Christmas 2017: What's Open, What's Closed In Lemont

Several services and businesses will be closed on Christmas or Christmas Eve.

LEMONT, IL — It's just days away from the Christmas holiday, and that means people will be out and about shopping, picking out presents and visiting family. While some people — including employees at some retail stores, as well as emergency responders — will be working on the holiday, many area businesses and offices will be closed.

Here's list of what's open and what's closed in Lemont for Christmas 2017.

  • Post office: Closed
  • Federal offices: Closed
  • Village of Lemont: Village offices will be closed Dec. 25. Garbage collection will be delayed a day.
  • Lemont-Bromberek District 113A: Closed. Students return from winter break on Jan. 9.
  • Lemont High School District 210: Closed. Students return from winter break on Jan. 9.
  • Lemont Public Library: Closed Dec. 24 and Dec. 25.
  • Banks: Closed
  • Gas stations: Open
  • Retail stores: Some will be closed, some will be open, but check the hours before you go.
