The Forge Nominated As USA Today Best New Attraction

LEMONT, IL — One of Lemont's newest businesses, The Forge: Lemont Quarries, has been nominated as one USA Today's best new attractions of the year. Readers can now crown the winner and vote for their favorite once per day until voting ends on Dec. 21 at 11 a.m.

The outdoor adventure park, which opened this past summer, offers ropes courses, climbing walls, kayaking, ziplines and mountain biking trails. The business also offers Forgefire Globes for outdoor dining, as well as a space for movies and entertainment at The Mount.

As of Dec. 14, The Forge is in third place, behind St. Pete Pier in St. Petersburg, Florida; and U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Museum in Colorado Springs, Colorado, according to the USA Today website.

The winners of the Readers' Choice awards will be announced at 11 a.m. Dec. 31.
