Grant Awarded For Stephen Street Resurfacing

LEMONT, IL — The village of Lemont has received a partial grant from the state for the resurfacing of Stephen Street. The village said the street will be resurfaced from Illinois to River streets, and the contract has been awarded to K-Five Construction Corporation.

The project includes resurfacing, curb and gutter removal and replacement at new ADA ramps, and paint pavement markings. Work on the project started Oct. 8, and the existing ADA ramps will be replaced at this time.

The resurfacing of the road won't take place until April or May 2020.
