Hope And Friendship Foundation Plans Mission Stay Saturday
On Saturday, volunteers can meet at Lemont Police Department, 14600 127th St., at 8 a.m., and head out to do some yard work.
LEMONT, IL — Volunteers are needed for Hope and Friendship Foundation's Mission Stay Saturday on July 10. The community nonprofit holds Mission Stay Saturdays to help families in the area by doing yard work and home repairs for those who may not be able to for financial or health reasons.
On Saturday, volunteers can meet at Lemont Police Department, 14600 127th St., at 8 a.m., and head out to do some yard work. Volunteers will be mowing, trimming trees, cleaning gutters, trimming bushes and weeding.
The nonprofit will hold another Mission Stay Saturday on Aug. 14, which will be a yard work day and a care box day. Volunteers can do yard work, and also make and deliver care boxes/bags.

According to the foundation, this is the ninth year of Mission Stay Saturdays, which help volunteers to be "compassion in action."
