Jeffrey Ludwig, Owner Of Ludwig's Feed Store, Dies

Jeffrey Ludwig was well-known throughout the community, and had worked at Ludwig's Feed Store for 45 years.

LEMONT, IL — Jeffrey Ludwig, the owner of Ludwig's Feed Store, died Feb. 8 at the age of 60. Ludwig was well-known throughout the community, and had worked at Ludwig's Feed Store for 45 years.

"He was such a good guy, he would do anything for anyone," Ludwig's daughter, Lori, told Patch. "He was always putting other people before himself."

Ludwig, was the beloved husband of Vicki, nee Gorski, Ludwig; loving father of Amanda (fiancé Andrew), Lori (Keil), and Mike (Brittney); cherished son of Esther Ludwig and the late Howard Ludwig, Sr.; dearest brother of Claudia (Jack) Rosenbaum, Howard (late Nancy) Ludwig, Carol (David) Frohlichstein, and Mary Schehr; and proud uncle of numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great nephews, his obituary states.

Ludwig's outlet was fishing, Lori told Patch.

"It was a way for him to decompress."

Ludwig also enjoying riding his motorcycle and spending time at his lake house, his obituary states. His daughter Lori said he was always tinkering, and was working on an epoxy table before he died.

"He was such a good soul," Lori said.
