Lemont 2021-22 Vehicle Stickers On Sale

LEMONT, IL — For residents living in the Village of Lemont, vehicle stickers for 2021-22 are now on sale. The new sticker will be valid from Aug. 1, 2021 to July 31, 2022.

According to the village website, the new sticker must be on the passenger side windshield by July 31. It is $60 for a sticker for a passenger vehicle; and $30 for a passenger vehicle for those 65 and older.

Residents can buy the stickers online or by mailing a check and completed form to Village of Lemont, Dept. 14, P.O. Box 88565, Carol Stream, IL 60188.

During Monday's Village Board meeting, Finance Director Christina Smith discussed how many village stickers are sold and what that revenue goes toward.

"Last year, the village sold 11,500 stickers," Smith said. "[That's] $633,000 in revenue. That revenue is dedicated for replacement of our snow plows, our street sweepers, our trucks, our police vehicles, and other capital equipment that is used for operations in the village."
