Lemont High School Marching Band Grabs 2nd Place at Benedictine
The Lemont High School Marching Band brings home trophies from second competition of the season.
It was a great weekend for the Lemont High School Marching Band. The band placed 2nd in Class 2A, 4th overall, and took home two trophies for Best General Effect and Best Visual at the Naperville Central Marching Classic at Benedictine University Saturday. A total of 15 bands participated in the thirteenth annual marching competition.
The Lemont High School Marching Band's 2019 performance is titled April Showers, and features "Gloria" and "All Things Bright and Beautiful," by John Rutter. The band is led by David Nommensen, Head Marching Band Director, and Matt Doherty, Director of Bands.
The band will compete next at the Phantom Regiment's Red and Black Fall Classic on Saturday, September 28th at Northern Illinois University's Huskie Stadium, beginning at 1 pm. For more information about the band and a schedule of performances, visit LemontBand.org.
