Lemont High School Reschedules Open House due to World Series

LEMONT, IL — Due to a potential conflict with Game 7 of the World Series, Lemont High School has rescheduled its 8th Grade Open House for Wednesday, November 30, at 6:30 p.m. The 8th Grade Placement Exam will be held on Saturday, November 5, as previously scheduled.

The 8th Grade Open House originally was scheduled for Wednesday, November 2. However, the school’s administration does not want to put members of its Class of 2021 and their parents/guardians in a position where they have to choose between attending the 8th Grade Open House and watching an historic sports event that is 108 years in the making!

The 8th Grade Open House provides an opportunity for current 8th grade students and their parents to meet Lemont High School teachers, counselors and administrators. Any incoming student who lives within the school’s attendance boundaries, or who will live within those boundaries during the 2017-18 school year, is encouraged to take advantage of the “sneak peek” that the open house provides. Lemont High School’s attendance boundaries include Lemont and portions of Darien, Downers Grove and Woodridge.

The 8th Grade Open House will begin in the Performing Arts Center at 6:30 p.m. on November 30; a musical performance from the school’s jazz band will precede the open house and begin at 6 p.m. After a presentation highlighting the school’s many outstanding curricular offerings, attendees may visit various areas throughout the building, including the school’s outstanding athletic facilities and the state-of-the-art Performing Arts Center.

The 8th Grade Open House will begin in the school’s Performing Arts Center, which is located on the southwest side of campus. Lemont High School is located at 800 Porter Street in Lemont.
